It appears the ladies are where the interest lies this weekend as the top three will be decided on the day! Great stuff.

Also since sport and street are virtually identical in line up - is it worth changing the rules and bunging them all in together? I assume this is a sin to even suggest but can't see the point of 2 such similar classes. - Will be there on Sunday - I will bring the bag of stones for my punishment.

To be happy and not get killed.

We have a couple of very fast people in Sports at the moment who are going so well in Street, unfaired and part faired that they make most of the classes look irrelevant! Big smile
Ken Buckley on the M5 High Racer (technically Sports/Street although I don't think he claimed them) won overall at Darley Moor and Neil Kirk also won overall on a Hurricane at Stourport...

I know Jochen has been doing lots of training to try to secure second in Unfaired ahead of me, so that should be an interesting race too on Sunday. I haven't been doing any training due to silly amounts of work so I suspect I know the result already, but you never know...  Smile

...except for the poor sods who have to gather the results, check the stopwatches and enter the whole lot into the laptop to figure it out! Please be especially patient with the organisers on Sunday.

The official line is that Sports and Street are kind of self-governing classes, created and run by those who compete in them. As the Rules say:
"These classes do not have strict technical specifications. Eligibility will be determined principally by the competitors or, if arbitration is required, by the Competition Secretary."
Sports aims to develop new riders and Street aims to develop new machines (specifically road-ridable faired bikes) so the intentions are slightly different. However one could argue that, if Street riders are competing on equal terms with Street then there is no need for road-ridable faired bikes. [Just sayin... Ouch]

Any help with organising will be greatly appreciated.
Please arrive and sign on in good time (or let me know if you're delayed and want to race - 07941 364182). Sorry, anyone just turning up after 11:00 will not be racing.

Plans to run the Wasp have gone astray as Dave's legs are too short for it and I've just broken it riding round the block to get the hang of the K-Drive! Speedy still isn't running so I'll either just have a spin round on the KC or more likely concentrate on organising...

See you all there! I'll have the gates open as soon after 9am as I can.
