Hocus Pocus, unfaired low bike, will be available to ride at this event and the following day. No adjustment. Fits some mid height riders. Easy to ride, though not a beginner's bike. Quite aero, but quite heavy.

Do you have to pay the "London car entry tax" to get a vehicle to Crystal Palace?

I would be up for that! Will be coming down for Friday night and probably staying in YHA Medway and ditto on Sunday night, ‘‘tis a long way up north. Will also have a tent with me if needed. So Saturday night at Crystal Palace, a memory from my youth would be wonderful.

Details for The Gravesend racing on the Saturday are: we have the lower 2 circuits of the track (click to see pic) booked from 12-4pm Sign-on starts ~11am Race formats (split into Fast and Slow groups depending on numbers) 10min + 1 lap 20 min + 1 Lap 30 min + 1 Lap The two race circuits can be used in a number of different combinations/directions, which can be decided on the day. Can we please have some volunteers to help organise?? Also worth noting: If travelling to/from Gravesend via the Dartford/bridge/tunnel don't forget it operates by numberplate recognitions system. You can pay in advance or by midnight the day after you cross. https://www.gov.uk/pay-dartford-crossing-charge Details for car parking charges at Gravesend Cycle Park can be found here: https://www.cyclopark.com/car-parking/

Is anyone getting more than a blank page with "Car Parking" written on it? I've tried three browsers... I think I'm on timing duty by default for this. Which means someone else really ought to do the sign-on (I have the tablet, float and sign-on forms, as well as the timing equipment (minus the stopwatches, to prevent a repeat of York if I'm unable to make it)). Their facebook posting for carpark charges is from 2013.
I emailed them to let them know their carpark webpage isn't working and to confirm current prices which are:- Under 30 minutes: FREE Up to 3 hours: £1.20 Over 3 hours: £3.60 Cant seem to edit my own posts, so I'll leave this info here and also put in the 2019 round 10 forum topic. |
