Andrew
the wording re the medical certificate is

"Any person entering the competition will have to produce a medical certificate stating his physical ability to cycle in competition, dated less than 6 months at the start of the competition."

it doesn't state this has to be from a doctor !
can't we just type one out and sign each others Wink

I'm seriously thinking about going over for this, maybe cycling, maybe not (decisions) has anybody come up with a cheap medical certificate supplier?  I think self certifying should be sufficient.

I had a less than helpful response from my GP's surgery regarding a certificate, I asked Bram if self certification is allowed, this is his reply:

Hello Ian,

You are not the first to have a problem with getting a medical certificate.
So we will ask everyone to sign a document where they state they are "fit
enough" to participate in races.

So you don't have to make up a certificate. We will take care of it.

See you in a month.

Regards,

It must be a great relief Ian, not to have to self-certify 'soundness of mind'! Big smile

IIRC they dropped this requirement for PBP coz so many people were just forging their own.

Including me...

No comfort for those who've already shelled out £35 for a medical certificate Cry (Not us - we got genuine ones for free because we have nice GPs).
