I have an original eTrex personal navigator ("Yellow eTrex") surplus to requirements. Complete with a lead to connect to PC USB port, related drivers and a handlebar mount.
Still does perfectly everything it did when I got it 10 years ago. Which means it's good for finding out exactly where you are, should you be in any doubt, and for navigating predefined routes, though you'll need to have some digital mapping (I used Tracklogs) or work out (I never got round to it) how to upload routes from the likes of Bikehike or gmap-pedometer. If you want a colour display, maps, or automated routing, this isn't the device for you. I've replaced it (with an eTrex 20) because it won't hold enough information for our end-to-end ride (it'll do a week's tour, but not two.) Best pledge in memory of Anna Jenkins secures. PM me. |
