Many thanks Jeff - photos very useful for sorting out a few queries about classes (and for showing those wussies who weren't there what they missed).

Looks like somebody missed few of my laps in both races. In the first race I finish ahead of Joseph Parker and I should have 18 laps. In the second race I finish ahead of Gus, just behind Jack Watson and I should have 24 laps.

Can anyone confirm that John (in the lovely shiny blue velomobile) was on the same lap as Jack and Gus in the second fast race? Or alternatively that they may have missed John passing twice (in his lovely shiny blue velomobile)?

This may be a good opportunity to remind everyone about the useful 'recall' feature on the stopwatches. After a race you, or your timer, can quickly skip through the lap times and check they are reasonably consistent. A missing lap is usually glaringly apparent as a lap time twice what it should be. It's much easier to correct lap counts on the spot than afterwards.

I'm sure it won't be the reason the lovely shiny blue velomobile lost laps on this occasion but it really needs a number on the front if possible John...

Makes it much easier for whoever is doing the finish order at the end of the race...

I think John has tried to comply:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/recumbents/14085922137/
but I'd say this is rather more 'on top' than 'on the front'. Alan's photo demonstrates the problem well.

And before anyone else points it out, I should have been disqualified too for having no side-facing numbers at York. Or at least dragged through the mud by a lovely shiny blue velomobile. No excuse, I just forgot to pack them.

I was John's timer... I am really sorry but I don't know if I missed a lap or not, can someone else confirm his position.

I think I need a stopwatch lesson please.
