No, not yet.

Can we please have some volunteers to help with this.
I can help with some of the organisery stuff during the races, but have a 5hr drive up on the Sat morn so no guarantee of being there in a timely manner for initiating sign-on.

Happy to go in [at the back of - Ed] the fast group and do timing stuff again. I'm starting to get the hang of it...

We'll be there for timing and money stuff (I'll have the float, so if you can wait for sign on until I get there, that might help with change). Happy to help out with organising when the face race is running.

This week I have put the original fairings on my bike to see what difference it makes riding it. Not ridden faired before and just sitting on it I can see there is very little forward vision. With this in mind on Saturday, please allow me a bit more room than normal entering and exiting corners if you are following or lapping. I won't be fast but probably will be struggling to judge corners and may be a bit erratic till I get the hang of it.

The bike is now pretty much back to the spec Tim Hayes rode between 97 and 2000. If you recognise it or know anything of it's history, I'd be very interested to hear about it.

Shocked

Looking forward to seeing that...
I'd say get there early if you can and grab a couple of laps while it's quiet.
Obviously safety (yours and other riders, especially any juniors that may turn up) has to come first.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  On Sunday, the current weather forecast suggests it might be raining at Knowlsley. if the velodrome is wet we won't be allowed on the track. I've been advised to ring them around 4pm on Saturday to confirm if the velodrome will be open. If it isn't then we can also use the Preston venue on the Sunday (I've confirmed its availability and they are aware we might make a last-minute booking for it).

As soon as I know the state of play I'll make sure everyone attending Preston knows and will also post the info on the facebook/forum pages

That's unusual, they normally shut the track at Preston on Sundays due to all the football going on inside the track. Say it is too dangerous. Let's hope they don't this weekend in case we need it.

Don't worry Colin, I've rung them to confirm its availability if we need it.
They actually have an athletics event on whilst we are racing on the Sat (as long as it doesn't involve the javelin then all will be safe......)
