Times for Hillingdon are now uploaded at: http://www.bhpc.org.uk/Data/Sites/1/media/events/events21/12hillingdon/index.html

(I think I've got Hank and William's class changes right?)

The complete 2021 championship table is in the usual place:

Note that it's taking points from the best 15 rounds (equivalent of the "worst 4" calculation in the old software) to make things fairer to those who don't turn up to all the races.  Rounds disregarded for championship total are marked "**".

Why didn't Nik Heathman in the Alpha 7 get any points in the Faired Multitrack class?

All the best.

A good question that I don't have the answer to.  He seems to have selected the right options in the shop, but Andrew has only entered him as Open at sign-on.  Probably a simple mistake.

I've fixed that and will wait for some more quibbles to come in before re-generating the results...

Saw a program on the ITV hub that said one in five people suffer from IBS and although the triggers fall into 3 categories the cause is that people with IBS can feel the large intestine stretching in response to  gasses produced normal digestion and people without IBS can't.

Strange thing for me was when I had my stroke I neither felt the IBS or my bad back or had hay fever symptoms for about 6 weeks. Lost about 75% of my power output in a single week though so I wouldn't recommend it as a remedy. Still 25% seems like a lot when you've been completely paralyzed for three days, and stroke wards can leave you traumatized with PTSD.

You are lucky being so young Kim.

All the best.

Mine's a result of having my gall bladder removed in my early 20s - the unregulated flow of bile means my gut gets irritated if I don't have a regular flow of fatty food to counteract it.  (Technically it's postcholecystectomy syndrome, not IBS, but the effect is the same.)

Interestingly, I've had a marked improvement in symptoms in the last few years.  Possibly weight loss related.

Yeah, I've seen what stroke can do.

I think we all have to make the best of what we have while we have it.  We're currently waiting for Natalya's bones to heal before we can find out if she'll be able to walk properly (or indeed pedal) again.  Being stuck living in one room and not being able to use crutches makes the whole thing very tedious, so I think coming to watch the racing yesterday was a welcome change of scenery.  (She especially appreciated the smooth floor and generously proportioned accessible toilet, which was the first time she's been able to go to the loo independently since her operation six weeks ago.)

Had to read up on post cholecystectomy syndrome and it did say it could trigger IBS but it also said to avoid fatty foods, despite what you've found works for you. I've never been able to eat fatty foods ever. When I was a very small child my Mother was concerned about my lack of weight so she tried hiding butter in sandwiches and she found that even the thinnest of layers would trigger vomiting even if I had not seen or tasted the butter. I avoid any cow milk products now (especially cheese) as I don't think I allergic to them, but I defiantly have an intolerance to them. I've given up on trying to put on weight now. I've come to the conclusion that it's never going to happen despite how much everyone wants me to.

My back has always been helped by riding a recumbent. The back consultant who looked at the x-rays of my back about 40 years ago told me I would be in a wheel chair in about 5 years time. My response was to buy a Kingcycle and start training at Hearn Hill Velodrome. I hope Natalya is as fortunate as I've been in finding a solution that works for her.

All the best.
Roy

Hi Russ. Despite what I said to Kim. (memory playing tricks on me!!) It can be found on the My5 app on Fire TV or computer or mobile. I think the Drs name was Sobia Wyne. I think the programs name had IBS in the title. It was on at about 8 pm a month ago.

All the best.
Roy
