Alas, we’ve just been informed that the Quibell Park velodrome (Scunthorpe) is in need of repairs and hence out of action for the forseeable future (until they can raise the funds for track repairs). :(
So instead of Scunthorpe the BHPC race event on Sat Jun 10th will now be on the cycle circuit at York Sports Village

Race sign-on for the 4th event of 2023 at York Sports Village starts on
  • Thursday 25th May for BHPC members
  • Thursday 1st June for non-members
Advance registration is essential (no registration on the day) and available online here:
shop.bhpc.org.uk/race-signon
Registration closes 12:00noon on Thursday 8th June

Let me know what's gone horribly wrong.  Andrew's finish time in the second race is a Mk 1 guess, because his tag didn't read.  Any Watson-related confusion is, frankly, to be expected.

That one was recorded correctly: It was his bell lap, and your finish lap, as Lee took the flag about 2 seconds ahead of you.  The video shows Heather swapping the bell for the flag just after Andrew passed.

Perhaps there was no missed read, and he took a leisurely last lap...
