I was wondering which thickness correx to use for making a full fairing and saw some of this in Homebase yesterday. It's certainly light but very flexible/flimsy and am not sure if this would deflect under pressure rather than deflecting the wind?
Would it be better to accept a bigger weight penalty with a more rigid (thicker) correx? The 2mm would be great for smooth curves but if it needs a lot of strengthening ribs, may end up heavier than using 3mm or 4mm? What size does everyone else use?

Hi Wooly Hat
I have used 4mm to cover an Ice trike and it is very strong, the 2mm can be used for some things that do not require any stiffness it damages quite easily but cheap enough to practice with before you spend on the thicker stuff. cheers. Jeff.

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for your reply. That's a good idea, i could use 2mm to make the templates and low stress parts before getting some 4mm for the main sections. Do you have any sources you'd recommend for 4mm? I found some on the web but they tend to have minimum order quantity/value. Cheers Colin
