Possibly not this arvo as although the thunderstorms appear to have waltzed off towards California it's not particularly warm and still a bit windy.  Forecast better for tomorrow & Saturday.

Wind.  Steadfastly refused to die down until sunset.  Wind.  First two heats devoid of participants, because Wind.  Held off closing the road as late as possible.  François and Andrea both fell at launch and didn't restart.  Matilde in TaurusX has a wobbly start but got down the road OK to clock 65.72, albeit with non-legal wind.  Then blotted her copybook by crashing heavily at catch when she was unable to see the catchers until far too late.  Over, slide, roll and roll again.  Rider OK, most on the bike too though the slide-on nose will probably be binned.  They have spares...  In the midst of all this drama Lincoln and Cyclone did 55.19 with legal wind on the last run of the evening.  Wind.

Tomorrow morning the forecast is for a lot less Wind so we're going to push the start times back an hour to let it warm up a bit too.  Did I mention the Wind?

Any thoughts from the hive mind on power vs speed vs timing on my last two runs?

Need to find another 4mph somewhere

Can someone turn that into a clicky link please

Bearing in mind that a Canadian team were not getting the expected performance at BM and this was said to be down to a bug on the front of the vehicle, could the below help:

Carnauba Wax
Only Formula 1 uses superior #1 Grade Carnauba Wax. Advanced micropolishers remove minor scratches and haze, bringing out the true, rich color of auto paint. Leaves pure Carnauba Wax protection that lasts for up to 12 months. Gives a high-gloss shine that lasts.

Do they sell it in Napa Auto Parts Big smile
Our man second fastest this morning with a wind-legal 72.95, behind only Andrea Gallo & Phoenix with 75.84.  Naff-all wind but none too warm either and all the softies on Team Northern Monkey were wrapped up in about six layers of Arctic survival gear.  No wonder we lost the Empire.

Rubbing tyre = no Seventy Seven on the start line this evening chiz the weather was warm, sunny and calm.  Evening's entertainments marred by a huge crash for François Pervis in Altaïr 6 when he decked about 100m before timing and slid along the road for a couple of hundred before sliding off into the dirt at somewhere north of 80 mph.  François got the once over from Julia Thornton - nurse and Wild Bill's wife - and is currently at the hospital for a more thorough investigation.  The bike is dead.

Best of the survivors was Matilde Vitillo in TaurusX with 70.52 with an honourable mention to BRITON Noah Phillips, who clocked 65.64 if I've read my crummy handwriting right.  All runs wind-legal save the 67.64 mph of Martina Stirano, riding TaurusX immediately behind François.

Hoping for tomorrow to be a repeat of today with regard to the weather and not to anything else.

Why the slight drop in power but slight increase in cadence just before the 5 mile mark?
