We have used Ingiliston (where local clubs have circuit races) and Meadowbank before in 1996. However I dont think the track is in great condition as it is an outdoor wooden velodrome beyond its life and under threat of closure.
Hetton is a good circuit but racing didnt stop locals still walking their dogs on it at the same time!

I like the twisties as much as the easy and the velodromes. I loved Newport on a bike and a trike. Gotta be a blast in a streamliner.
I really don't like sitting in my own drying sweat for several hours after racing. Curborough, Castle Combe (but close to home >:)). Reading is scary as one approached 40mph. (I never see the other side) Redbridge, please keep it. Hill or no hill. The bottom circuit was manic fun. Re other tracks (because people have used this thread for already) there was Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth for another one on the south coast there is a new one near Exeter, very south west. Dave T's local? |

had a look at rhyl about 3 weeks ago, definitely worth a test event there, its also easy access by car of the mways. pity theres nothing close to it we could use a double header event.
wolverhampton is horrendously expensive, unless the eejits in charge have started to see sense. it was 75£ per hour! 25 if juniors are involved, mmm maybe we should raise the age of junior category to something arbitary such as mikesage -1

That would be the idea - or, to be more precise, limit it to riders who would anyway be participating in other races in the BHPC series Edited by Adrian Setter - 05 October 2011 at 9:26am |

Here's the calendar of races booked so far. We're still after a couple to complete the calendar. Obviously a date in May, and one in August (still no response from Blenheim, I'm afraid) would be the ideal.
Date Day Venue 01/04/2012 Sunday Hillingdon 29/04/2012 Sunday Castle Combe 09/06/2012 Saturday Fowlmead (also World Championships) 10/06/2012 Sunday Fowlmead (also World Championships) 08/07/2012 Sunday Darley Moor 28/07/2012 Saturday Preston 29/07/2012 Sunday Lancaster 22/09/2012 Saturday Rhyl (Marsh Tracks) 07/10/2012 Sunday Redbridge (Hog Hill) - bottom track only. From 12.00. 21/10/2012 Sunday Hillingdon Adrian & Claire Edited by Adrian Setter - 27 December 2011 at 9:28pm |

Many thanks Adrian and Claire.
I am sure volunteers to organise races will be more than welcome...
I'm happy to do the Fowlmead races as I'm looking after signing on for the Worlds anyway...
As much help as possible would be appreciated as I am hoping to race as well if possible.

Yes, thank you C&A. I'll volunteer to organise Redbridge - but please remind me nearer the event!

I take it that not all the events at Fowlmead will count as points for the national championship as those volunteering might find it impossible to compete in everything.
