Hi - some expert advice needed. I've been renovating an Aerobike Sprint, a lovely small wheel recumbent. The chain tube is quite long, and close to the front chainset and rear cassette. It occurs to me that I could shorten the tube, without affecting protection for the frame and seat. And by increasing the length of 'free' chain on the drive, it might reduce noise and make the changes a bit slicker. Any thoughts or comments on this?
