Cool perhpas not, some runs of a NACA duct, there is little air coming in but this is more to do with the fact it is imported very scaled down from ProE.

what is interesting to see here is the lamiar layer and how little effect on the flow the duct has

Alas the visor in the Quattro is fixed at the mo and on Ffeuen the screen is suitable to make such a duct work.
and using a naca duct in theory allows sufficient air to draft in with minimal aero drag loss.

Hi Graham, do you have any references for how well NACA ducts work in a turbulent (but attached, obv.) boundary layer?

sorry no but I'll look. They are are as I understand best in lamiar/transisional phase but can be used in part to pull the layer back down. we could set up a kick before it if there is a specific layout you'd like to look at, feel free to send a igs over.

Just general interest Graham - the tendency is to use NACA ducts by default - we had some inside the radiator duct on an F1 car - wondered whether they're the ideal in those conditions. I've even seen them used as exit ducts!
