Muchly improved was CycleVision - usual mild organisating hiccups but with an entry field of 300 or so rather to be expected.

Circuit at Zandvoort is definitely one to go back to and the town is in a different league to Lelystadt.

Racing on Saturday would have been a bit less scary for me if the wind had been a bit less than it was, a couple of times it felt as if I had been run into by an errant Quest! On Sunday the wind was a bit lighter which made the racing, for me at least, a lot less scary and meant that you could really appreciate the track.

If it is held there next year I would definitely recommend going

Racing was fun for me too - but it would have been much better if the transponders had actually worked. With only results in one of the 3 races I was not impressed - particularly having no results from the 3hr race!

Race track itself was great and well worth going to again.

Neil,
transponders worked, we even checked with amb if we could get 300 people in 1 race. They told us that even 1000 should be no problem. So we started 270 people in the 1 hour time trial. And we had 300 perfectly working transponders, but only during the race we discovered that our software has a 170 participants limit.
We could guarantee you that our timing systems will be altered. A lot of people of race committee and our technical team belonging to ligfiets.net and even people who make this a special project are working on it.
Also the 300 participants, sometimes not regular race participants bring their own problems, they speak to each other and exchange transponders "because this one fits better on my bike".
They have no idea that transponders are personal.

Greetings,
Jack Dekker, chairman of the Cycle Vision organisation Committee

Hi Neil,

Please inform us which results are missing and/or wich are wrong. Especially the one hour race was quite hard to fix because the unexpected 170 participants limit in the software. We have results of you in the one and three hour race.

If you think your results are not correct please send us a e-mail. We would like to know the race, your startnumber, name, transpondernumber (if you know it), starting time (in case of the hour TT) and your estimated speed (or between who and who did you finish?).

I found out you are missing in the 45 minutes race. If you indeed finished just after Denis Mario Ahrens and right in front of Mike Burrows (as a handwritten note says) then I don't have you transponder readings.

Hans Wessels

BTW: presubscribing helps a lot at the transponder front.

Hans,
I have incorrect results from 2 of my 3 races:

4 Hour race: I think that the "unknown" result number 20 is actually mine. This seems to tie in with my posted result (number 75). I was stopped half way through the race and had an additional transponder fitted as mine had "ceased working". It appeaars that it hadn't hence the "Onbekend", unknown entry

45 min Criterium: No time for me at all on this. I finished shortly after Jurg Birkenstock, which would put me in about 16th position or so.

PS Publishing e-mail addresses which work reliability is useful.
