Badly translated by me and google, from ligfiets.net
World Championships/ Cycle Vision 2009 Recumbent Cycling world champs and the CycleVision are a combined event in 2009. The event is sponsored by Tilburg 2009 and will be held in that city. We're working on a nice public event. The date was previously set at 3, 4 and July 5. With the support under the city council of Tilburg 2009 we can put a wonderful event. The holding of 1 race on the road was a desire of the organization. For the camp with tents and caravans is a playground / parking and canteen found. The expo will be held in a nearby sports hall and probably be held only at the 4 and July 5. And of course there will again a tryout area. wk2009.ligfiets.net will soon be filled with news on the upcoming event. I'm sure Jack will clear up any queries. Tilburg is failry close to the Europoort and Hoek ferry ports http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=tilburg&ie=UTF8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&ll=51.741487,4.691162&spn=0.708343,2.180786&z=10 nice and easy to get to by bike or otherwise, I'm quite looking forward to this! And with three BRITISH defending champions, the BHPC expects that every BRITON will do their duty!

Hopefully sterling will have picked up a bit by then. Though if carries on its current slide and stops at £1 = 1E then at least it'll be easy to work out how much things cost! |

Well Fards, you know me well.. I do would like to invite the british champions of course! We did have a difficult decision on Tilburg. However, the attractive street races were one of the key elements for this event. Street races are very difficult to organise and very attractive because of the public and the surroundings. We think we can have things organised well. For the exhibition it is very nice to see that there is also lots of pr done for us by the team that organises Tilburg 2009. They have the right to call themselves a town for 200 years now and are celebrating that. Everything that has to do with 200 has a magical meaning to them and our expected number of 200 participants opened some doors. We have some work to do, but i will be willing to answer any questions, Jack |

Can't see what the surfaces are like but the circuits are laid out here.

Simon,
the circuits are normal roads. The local organisers looked at roads that have little or no speed bumps and are mostly tarmac. We visit the site with our committee in January, but it will probably not change anything. I do hope to put some pictures of the roads that we use on the internet. Jack |

Thanks Jack. I just wanted to make sure there were no pave sections. Mike B told me he thought the crits were going to be on Cobbles!
