New member "Hello!"

   Hello all
I've just joined the Club and the Forum and thought I'd pop in for a quick, "Hello".

I'm a mechanical engineer who loves all things bike-related – except the saddles!  Having made it into my fifties without succumbing to the obvious lure of recumbents, I bought a Optima Lynx a few days ago and am now enjoying my most comfortable and fastest Bike Week ever.  "Fast" being a relative thing 

It'll be used mostly for commuting and fun through the flatlands of Cambridgeshire.

I look forward to meeting some of you IRL.

(Apologies if there's already a "Say hello"-type thread.  I searched, but couldn't find one.)
