I've booked Darley Moor for a pre-season shakedown day on Sunday 25th February 2007, sign in 11:00 (yes, I know it is a long way off yet, but I wanted to get it into the calendar, magazine, etc).

I'm anticipating running a simple race schedule (maybe a few 20mins scratch events) with plenty of open track time to test and run in new hardware.

I'll organise hot drinks as it may be rather blowy up there that time of year! Warm coats, hats and gloves essential for spectators. All are welcome and I'll shout for the costs so just give me a shout if you're coming so I know how much tea/coffee/etc to bring along.

Cheers,

Rob

Sounds good. Will this be a points race? Will the open multitrack class be avalible? I might use the trice with the front and rear fairings and the bag, I think I will need the bag in feb temps.
Current fleet: Milan SL MK2 #027, Fujin SL II, Beany!

I should be there. I'll confirm nearer the date.

I'd suggest that the races are not normal points races but more of a fun day out and a good test session.

Lee,
I think that a hot water bottle and flask fittings might be optimal... :)

When does anyone fancy Aldersley Velodrome?

Mid November?

Would you like a race at Quibell Park in 2007? I could see if I could book it.

Noted in my diary. Ditto about confirmation nearer the date (like, probably sometime around the 22nd of February...)

No Lee, this is a PRE season session that I've booked in order to test my own equipment on the track before the points race season starts. As I have the track for the day I'm offering it to any club members who wants to come along. If there is enough interest I'll organise some racing and maybe throw in a few prizes. Ride whatever you want as long as you meet the usual race regs and insurance requirements (ie. a helmet is needed).

'sactly!

A chance for everyone to try out and debug their new Xmas presents/winter projects on a full size track before running them 'in anger' at a points event.

I'll be expecting everyone to be showing off new toys, even if it is only warm gloves and socks!!!

And, of course, any racing will be subject to weather conditions.
