Without a pre-registration I don't know exactly who will be there, but speaking to people at races in the UK and France, and from e-mail communication in the past few weeks, I'd say 16 people so far.

As for the organising, the track has been booked, and bookings for the pitches inside the track have been blocked. The other courses have been decided upon - I'll be out riding them this weekend with my Garmin to get course profiles and maps (any excuse to go out for a ride Smile ). The sprint course still needs a bit of effort to work out some sort of traffic control while the sprints are taking place - but progress so far is encouraging.

Sponsorship of the town crit should have been decided by now, but there is competition from the Jersey Car Rally (boo hiss). Presentations have been made to potential sponsors and a decision should be made in the next week or two. The town crit event will go ahead in one form or another - the Constable (Mayor) of St Helier, Public Services & local Police are very supportive.

We are going with Claire and Adrian and Sherri (Sherri prob. not competing).

Jersey is perfect for cycling and there's a rare chance to take on those primitive stick bikes in a straight fight (10 mile TT). Wot's not 2 like?!Thumbs Up

I am thinking about coming, but have to find the cash.
Geoff, the course record for the 10 is only 24.24 which is my PB for a 10 on  a road bike. I think that this will be easily beaten.

Hi Andy,

assuming you mean 24' 24" then thats 24.59 mph, so, if it's as flat as billed, then easy-peasy for some of our number, but not for me unfortunately (I'm not taking the streamliner Unhappy).

Andrew S and Heather F will be there too... come on Glyn and Andy, you know you want to Smile

Unfortunately, the expense of taking a hired van to Jersey is daunting, so the Davies is unlikely to make the trip - but mixed touring and racing (bagged up) is what the Kingcycle does best Thumbs Up

I am certainly thinking hard about it. The main issue is how best to get to Portsmouth. Its only 40 miles from where I live but means either hiring a van (plus driver) to get me and the KC (fully streamlined) there or ride on what are some of the most busiest dual carriageways  in the country.
Not sure what the bike will handle like full of kit and clothes.Ermm
