I have a question regarding the Hillingdon round.
How many streamliners will be on track? There was a time when I believed that 2011 was set to be well populated with fully faired riders. Is that to be the case? I include fully faired trikes in the question as they are relatively fast and tend to track lovely steady corners. Please, riders to be racing only Open / Faired Multi Track (or whatever its supposed to be called today) show their hands now. Mightit be worth considering a separate Faster* race? *Wobblier. Not that I seem myself as a hazard to other riders, its only that the thought of entering a busy fast race in my first outing on the Great White, trying to work up through the field and with Hillingdon track width being fairly narrow I'm getting me the heebie jeebies. ![]() |

I think Reading is a more realistic target for my first race fully faired... I'd love to give it a go at Hillingdon but it isn't looking likely unless I get a van sorted out soon and get over to Welwyn to get some practice... I'd be way too likely to wipe out anybody silly enough to be spectating on the first corner...

and no alas DM = Darly Moor but I picked up a nice kingcycle which is now fitted with those very nice 650c rims and so can take the even nicer 650c disc. |

I hope to be there fully faired (trike), but as it will be my first ride let alone race and i have made such drastic alterations - not even sure if i can see out, that racing may come second to; start - stop (adjust) start - stop (retire)........

Despite my promises to be ready for the first race my head out F40 look alike will not be ready in time but may have the modified (narrowed) front fairing on. At least when it is ready the learning curve should be brief as the bike is unchanged position wise.
Also Christine will be racing this year so some of the time we will probably both be on naked KCs because of space issues in the car.
BUT the bike will be covered before the end of the season.

I'm pretty sure Twed said he wouldn't be at Hillingdon when I saw him at the pedal car test day a couple of weeks ago.
