Still no organiser for this event??
I think at Hog Hill people will need to know what the race format is going to be in advance so that they can sort out things like gearing, which bike to use, whether to get out of bed etc...

Ok.....I will step up for organising at Hog Hill.
The layout will certainly be weather dependant.
My initial thoughts are to run a couple of 40mins races on the lower circuit. Also I'd thought of starting with a full single lap ....yup that will include the hill.....but only once ;O)
Never believe an atom they make up everything.

track layouts shown here give many options: http://www.vision-rcl.org.uk/redbridgetrack.html.

The tiny bit at the top looks interesting, as long as the number of riders on track is small...

Is that cos of wind blowing you streamlined lads around?

Any chance of a decision before the day?  I ask cos i'm down in Reading Friday/Saturday, I won't be home until very late Sat, or Early Sunday, I don't really want to have to get up at 6am to find out when i arrive at the track that i can't get up the hill (if we are going clockwise) or go round the tight bends if we are on the tiny circuits at the top of the hill!

Cheers

Ian

Tight bends, oh yeah bring them on please more the better. TongueWink.

Wind, pah!  I'm an expert on wind.

[edit] Sorry Claire/Neil for threading a shark through a fagpaper gap while fighting the squalley conditions at Reading.

After much debate with my racing consultant and a quick view of the weather forcast, I have decided that the original format for the races will remain. Number of races depends upon the numbers that turn up.
For now, we will start with a standing start single lap which will be on the FULL 2.1km lap.
Following that will be a 40 min + 1 lap race(s) on the lower 1.15km layout.
One point that is worth making .....being on time may be essential, as once single laps are under way it may be restrictive for new arrived riders to get to the startline (currrently assumed being at the very bottom 'layby').
Never believe an atom they make up everything.
