I hear from Mike B that the next series of Speed with Guy Martin is likely to feature Mr Martin having a go at a 24-hour record in a Burrows/Kingsbury machine at Goodwood. Nothing has been built yet but the current plan is for something like a two-seater version of Bubble&Squeak. Presumably one rider can get a good night's sleep while the other pedals on alone.

Who knows when Channel 4 are likely to pop up for some extra footage so keep those race machines polished and pristine for the coming season.

AndyTS has given me an idea Yanto. A new documentary series built specially for you, called "Mr Tufty Rides Wobbly Bob". Can I pitch it for you? Channel 5 methinks. 11.45pm slot? Big smile

Alan, for Channel 5, you'd have to spell 'Bob' with two O's  Shocked

I bought the orange correx for Sam's Crusader in 8'x4' sheets and they will cut them into smaller sizes if you require. They do plenty of different colours. I found their service excellent and very friendly.

Couriers due here Thursday to convey the Mic Wic Delta to Mike for fettling as an interesting machine for Guy and Jason (Rourke, I think, who built the bike for series 1's motor-paced record) to have a go on.  The last any of you will have seen of the Mic Wic was in 2008, when it was already a bit shabby.  Since then it's done nothing but sit rusting in my garage.  Neither polished nor pristine!  (Nor even, at the time of writing, having any brakes...)

For those who haven't had the pleasure, here's a picture - on tour on Islay, with panniers full of whisky:
