ANNOUNCEMENT
The British Human Power Club will be hosting the Human Powered Vehicle World Championships in 2024!!
Folowing a meeting this afternoon we can confirm that the Venue will be Betteshanger Country Park near to Deal in Kent.
The dates to put in your diary are 16/17/18 August 2024.
We'll be running a varied program of events over the weekend and will have classes to accommodate a wide variety of machines and riders.
Facilites are excellent and camping will be available on site.
More details as we go along but I can also confirm the BHPC event at the venue on 23rd September this year, with camping availabl;e on site so that you can check out the track and the facilities!
We will be asking for people to help with organising, marshalling and running the event of course.

Shouldn’t be necessary this time. Camping will be up the top near the track. 😀

On the German Velomobile Forum it has been noted that the date of WC clashes with a big fair where in previous years there has been a race meeting which may mean a reduced presence from them.

That’s unfortunate. 😞 Betteshanger had three possible weekends in July/August next year and all would have clashed with something - we’ve booked and announced it as early as we could so people will have plenty of time to decide what they want to do.

We’ve now ironed out a few little wrinkles, confirmed a few details and paid a deposit for the track hire! See you all at Betteshanger next August for a fantastic festival of HPV racing!!

Is there a racing class for tubby unfit trikers?
Preferably with no preparation whatsoever.....
