Topic: Eastway - Thanks Posted: 14 May 2006 at 8:59pm |
Thanks for all the effort today Nick... Very well done I thought.
Nobody would have guessed it was your first go at organising...
Hope those who fell off at the hairpin are ok...

Got back to Paddington safely, thanks to some ratrunning through London with the Bikefix crew. An excellent day's racing. Cherishing my t-shirt, thanks Mr B. Thank you to the organisers. Bye bye Eastway.

Would like to add my thanks to Nick and Judith and Kevin (again!) - with organising like this we are starting to look like a professional cycling club (except they don't usually have an inflatable palm tree ). Also thanks to Heather (who I understand made the lovely cake) and Mike B for the prizes.
Hope your ankle is feeling better, Nicky.

Aw my knees. I have never seen my HR over 196 before. my HRM said my max for this race was 198!
Was a good race anyway.
Looking at the results, There does not appear to have been any Trice S trikes race before and the two turn up at once!
If D-dale is reading this, here is your speed/cadence for your two laps (the cadence did not seem to work for the first part though) http://image52.webshots.com/52/8/59/82/2886859820078124647UFFxGm_fs.jpg

I now know that organising is definitely not a one-person job! Hearty thanks to all those who lent a hand and offered advice, particularly Judith, Kevin, Heather, Rob G, Andrew S and gNick.
Another really enjoyable day - can't wait for the next one

I suggest that 31 is too many to have in one race - not for safety or anything wussy like that but because it takes sooooo long to read out all the names. Perhaps we could have a separate Goodmans race - that should keep the numbers down...
