GCN have produced two videos as a result of their visit to Hillingdon last Sunday... One on their main channel and one on their Tec section. If anyone can't understand Barney just put "Noisy Northern Git" into Google Translate... :)

Cracking video, well done to all involved especially Barney for looking after GCN all day. It could have been edited very differently - I was a bit worried seeing the word ‘wacky’ in the title.
Just a shame it’s now 5 months till the first race next year…

I know that April is some way off, but keeping some momentum on the back of this video would be great. Does someone (Lee?) have a Beano in the shed that we could get Hank in at Hillingdon next year?

Hank won't fit in a Beano unfortunately...
I guess Great White may be a possibility at some point if he wants to try a streamliner.
They are looking to get either Hank or a current pro rider on an upwrong bike racing against Slash. Good luck with that. Big smile

GCN have done a series of videos pitting various people/bikes against GCN’s Si on a TT bike, so that would be a great video

(Recalls the time someone put up a serious four-man pursuit squad against Young Master Robert English and the Hachi at Reading)

Will all this talk of Barney being an Expert lead to his incarceration at the hands of Slithy Gove's Arrest-o-Bots? #MediaTart

I must admit I don't usually watch GCN videos as a slightly lighter piece of carbon fibre than the last one doesn't really excite me...
It's great to see them featuring recumbents. Hank seems like a really nice chap and was genuinely enthusiastic. I was amazed how quickly he got the hang of the NoCom. And his very hot final lap took us and the timing system by surprise.
They are doing stuff with Mike Burrows and they have got the Soup Dragon of course (one of their bods will be riding that soon).
I'd have liked to have seen Slash talking about the Beano and Jonathan describing his machines really, and it seemed particularly odd to me having Claire there as an ornament while Barney spoke about her handcycle...
All good publicity though - lots of positive comments on Youtube.

Didn't Ed (can't remember last name - sorry) make a Beano with a band to increase the width? Used to climb in through the windscreen aperture.

Hank would fit in Heaven 7/ Bream though.

Yep - Eddie Robbins... Great bloke. Haven't seen him for ages though unfortunately and no idea what happened to his machine. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-G8HkMEmfrXE/T9Y1lcvJTvI/AAAAAAAAAII/gnzFNHuuGk4/s1600/Eddie.jpg
