No worries, I was not sure how you figured the faster speeds out, makes sense now ;-)

I don't think I have raced against Gerry in the same race yet, I was wonderign where he was.
I won't be going to Lancaster or Preston sadly, too costly for me to travel far and find somewhere to stay at the moment. I hope next year will be a fuller year for me.

I think my next may be Fowlmead if I can sort it out, not sure if I want to lug camping gear and bike along on the train though.

Take care,
Barry ;-)

Your'e not far from me so should be able to take your camping gear at least and maybe you too if I end up going alone. Would have to have roof down on car to fit both bikes in, but it never rains at Fowlmead!. Will PM you nearer the time

Good point Stuart, i was going to post that when i checked rear tyre that had deflated i found a shard of flint about 5mm long through the inner tube, it had been right through the tyre.  On closer inspection i found numerous other bits of flint in the rear tyre - front's were ok apart from a couple of small cuts.

So yes if you raced i suggest you check your rubber wear for bits of hard stuff!

It was flint which caused my rather spectacular off at hog hill 2010.

I found a bit of BHPC skin suit stuck to my tyre!. I think we should gaffa tape yard brooms to Steve and Howards bikes to clear the track for the rest of us and slow them down a bit

It can be adjusted since the points won't be done until I have the stuff from Reading.

Just to say that Christine and I were not at Hog hill simply because she was running in a local event at Worthing for cancer relief on Sunday. Also we had to abort Reading after having started the trip as 12 miles in Christine felt unwell and we turned back.
weight is everything

Thanks for the offer Andy, much appreciated. either; or would be cool as I am happy to take my bike on the train if you are limited for space.

I saw the sunny report from the last Fowlmead, me thinks you are tellin' porkiesLOL

Take care,
Barry ;-)
