For those who don't know, Curbourough is 0.7 miles round; its highest point is 11 feet higher than its lowest, and there is a whole 15 feet of climbing in each lap!

Well, according to GPS, anyway...

We had a good time, and Judith enjoyed her birthday outing despite the, er,  character-building aspects of it Smile

Oh, and the Red Zeppelin is every bit as impressive as it looks in your pictures Clap

If it means we get some more excellent cake I suggest we have a meeting on Judiths Birthday again !

Yes, thanks Lee - I'm afraid we were rather dispirited after the Darley Moor fiasco and didn't have the heart to try again...

We decided to go up to Ashbourne on the Saturday, as originally planned, and consequently missed the notices about Curboro. Still, we had a nice day walking in Dovedale on Sunday, and no rain! There were a number of vans and at least one racing motorcycle (Kawasaki) in the carpark at DM when we passed by, Saturday lunchtime. Guess they were disapointed too...

Thanks to Lee for PMing me about Curboro, anyway.
