The bike is Ellen's Varnovski. It's a few generations behind the Tempest but there are obvious possibilities to improve it. Primal has gone for the single fairing between the wheels. Goro Tamai and David suggest it isn't such a great idea. Thomas chose a similar underside design to VeloX for Cygnus.

The bike has a strut each side of the riders head, at least one of much can be released to facilitate entry. I have a picture of Barbara sitting in it. The struts are at her eye level.
