The Young Lady has a ICE Micro (hence USS). It came from new with a Mirrycle. It regularly gets knocked in use and when moving the trike in and out of the car.
What are some alternative bar-mounted mirrors that aren’t as prone to stripping internal threads but still give a field of view when riding on Britain’s silky-smooth roads? She is looking at alternative mirrors too. What are some decent spectacle-mounted mirrors? Edited by LWaB - 13 January 2023 at 11:01pm |

I use B&M Cyclestar mirrors on account of their band-on mounting. Can vouch for the field of view (the larger diameter one is a similar size to the Mirrycle) and being reasonably robust, but not for the bar-end insert.

I have been using a "take a look" glasses mounted mirror for must be near on 18yrs.
The issue I find with fixed mirrors on the trike was that car/cycle headlights tend to reflect directly in your face when they are driving/riding behind you. With a glasses mounted mirror you just turn your head slightly. You also have a larger field of vision using one also as you just move your head to where you want to look.

Take-a-Look has original (RHS only and further from your eye) and compact (both sides) versions. Anybody used both and formed a preference?

Mine is on the RHS and sits away from the glasses https://photos.app.goo.gl/ZL9Z1T6pWT7MzuVR8
Does Judith want to borrow it to try out or has she ordered one yet? Not currently using it so can post it over if it helps. Rich

I have ordered an ‘original’ as the blurb suggests it could be mounted on either side. With PBP later this year, that might be a consideration.

I did swap mine to the opposite side on the way to Paris for PBP 2007 but couldn’t get used to it so put it back on the right when I stopped for lunch.
