Just like to add my thanks to everyone who organisated - thanks Kevin, Sherri, Paula and anyone else I've forgotten. It was a really enjoyable day. Impressed with Sarah T and Alex's performances in particular. Alex - you've made Denise consider giving up smoking, which is a good day's work.

Sarah was going really well and I think Hannah also deserves a mention as she was going quicker than all the other juniors (and a good few adults) with a flat front tyre!!!

While on good performances - Anna did well.  She just about equalled her speed of two years previously. Not bad considering what has happened in between (and this is earlier in the season than normal).  She was really chuffed - thought she had flown (was actually quite disappointed that she was the same as a previous year!)

Blimey, I can't even keep the Speedmachine upright with a flat front tyre, let alone ride at any speed.

Definitely a big thank you to Sherri for MCing the event as well as to all the less visible organis-ey people.

Sorry I didn't make it - suffering from Ankles caused by too much standing up in inappropriate footwear the night before.  Could hardly make it to the front door :-(

I've told you time and time again, don't go to concerts in 4inch heels. It isn't as if you are short for goodness sake!

I was most impressed with Denise, who towed Alex for 17 and a half laps before he passed her and cleared off! And she smokes?

I realised after two laps that I wasn't going to get up to the Denise-powered train, nor was I able to jump on when they eventually lapped me with 1 to go. But Dave Tigwell and I worked out an unspoken but mutually beneficial arrangement when I finally got onto his rear wheel. Thanks Dave, I hope I'll see you at Eastway Wink

I was impressed that Dave T had come from Cornwall by public transport. To be fair, I don't think Alex was close enough to Denise most of the race to get a tow...
