I hope to come  to race but still dont know how to make the kingcycle race safe; has anyone got a spare thing? that would cover the exposed chainring?

otherwise i end up racing the dingo which is a fair bit heavier and doesnt have any fairing

I have a corroplast cover that Christine uses on her KC I could let you borrow that; only problem is I will be coming by train and will not probably get there in time for the start of the first race.
weight is everything

It's always a surprise when first race starts, (events page says 11am).

If you arrive for 10am you won't miss anything and even have time to sign on!

I will be racing (on another kingcycle) I also need to bodge some sort of safety device (front cover). although there is very little chance of me going fast enough to rear end anyone....Wink

My mate Andy is also coming along on yet another Kingcycle which he was very kindly leant by Miles following a bike accident which made in uncomfortable to ride a regular bike.....

Also As I am fairly local I can hang about to kick out the stragglers if required...Ouch

To be happy and not get killed.

What is the race format? As that, along with the weather forecast will ditate which bike I decide to race (O or O/Mf)
Current fleet: Milan SL MK2 #027, Fujin SL II, Beany!

i'm taking "Kinder Quest" (KQ), as the forecast for most of the week is pants, we might be lucky, but i doubt it!

Anyway KQ will be "raced" in a sedate and gentlemanly fashion, primarily as it it will be it's first race and i don't want to crash!

I'm hoping to be there Sunday barring any issues :-)) can someone tell me how the track runs? Is it mainly flat or does it have hills? Looking forward to seeing you all again :-))
Love handcycling when it's not raining :-)

Long, open lefthander, up a moderate but quite long hill, drop down to a hairpin, then short climb up through some esses, then sweep left onto a long, flat straight. Good surface and a wide track. Much liked by riders.
