Simon should win that one easily then - he averaged 7.8 mph at the first Hillingdon event. Wait a minute, he's from Norfolk as well. I smell a conspiracy Shocked.

Mike B has told me I am definitely not getting any of his funny money as I didn't finish the race at Hillingdon. But still insists I should get the Unfortunate Scotsmans cup for cracking my front hub off my front wheel at that event (which he lent me the glue for!)and puncturing at Lancaster in the pouring rain. I also misscounted the laps at Darley Moor so Mike B won but it was Adrian who had the real bad luck and came of the circuit on the hairpin on the one from last lap!

You should know not to use materials from uncertificated sources, Simon Wink. Shame you're not eligible for the prize - you seem to be getting quicker with every race despite your health problems.

BTW, sorry for not visiting you when we were in Norfolk - I wasn't aware just how close to the 'Lord Nelson' you are. Also, we had problems getting phone reception all week - reckon that's why it's such a popular holiday destination with Londoners - their bosses can't contact them there!

This plus the (ahem) "unsettled" nature of the weather that week meant we never could make up our minds what we were going to do until mid-morning, let alone the day before.  Sorry we didn't make it all the same.

Not going to make it...
Just rode around the block and had trouble getting up off the bike.
Back still giving grief.
It hasn't been helped by my new toy, which is a very old Triumph motorcycle...

Have fun everybody...

See you all next year when I will of course be much faster after a hard winter's tr%$£*&g...
