Yes Keith, I would say that last lineup looks about right.

Though Mike B did say that you were the only person he *didn't* beat...haha. It doesn't add up does it.

No Mike said Keith was the only unfaired bike he didn't lap.
Simon Sanderson.

I did have a camera filming the whole race from my handlebars, so if anyone feels strongly I could count the number of times a particular person lapped me and the time at which they did so.

This is also how I know I did 19 laps rather than the 15 recorded, as well as my lap times.

Can I have a point please?
Then I'd move ahead of Alistair...

It's not usually this bad, Mike Embarrassed

Although your post prompts me to suggest that perhaps (until we have an electronic timing system, anyway) we should have a video camera positioned at the finish line to record each race in its entirety.

I have not yet downloaded my computer but will do later, that will show me my time and laps for sure. Mike B was ahead of me, I don't remember anyone else getting ahead of me though other than the streamliners. Other than at the start, I did not see Martin Beyst for the whole race, I got ahdead of him but did not lap him.

The race order seems pretty well agreed. Having slaved over a hot spreadsheet long enough to thoroughly cook the results, the following laps and times give the right result with the minimum number of changes to those recorded on the day:

4 Simon Sanderson 67 Black Panzer O/P 23 47:25.84 27.66
5 Mike Burrows 0 RatRacer O/P 23 48:18.32 27.16
6 Lee Wakefield 72 Quest O/F/V 23 48:55.94 26.81
7 Keith Davis 200 HPV Street Machine O/U 22 48:04.30 26.11
8 Paul Collender 8 Bacchetta Carbon Aero O/U 22 48:27.34 25.9
9 Martin Beyst 161 M5 O/U 22 48:27.62 25.9
10 Stuart Dennison 19 Ratracer O/P 21 48:03.02 24.93

This requires only two changes to the recorded laps (Paul +1 and Stuart -1) and no changes to the recorded times.

Swapping Stuart's and Mike's times gives better agreement with Keith's account but doesn't actually change anything so we may as well leave it as recorded. Leaving Stuart's laps as recorded places him between Paul and Keith, which Paul and Martin disagree with.

I commend it to the House and. more importantly, the Organisator.

There are two people in your head, Howard, and they can't both be right. The finishing times show you were just under 1/2 lap behind Eddie so if you were in 2nd place then you must have been equal on laps (i.e. 20). If you have 19 laps then, without a fair amount of kludging, you come 3rd.

The only way for you to have 19 laps and come second is to knock a lap off both Eddie Beyst and Andy Forey (great thing, Excel). No one has quibbled with your 2nd place, so let's tweak the laps to fit the story.

I've updated the tables for

          Hayes 2
and    The 2007 Championship

to take account of as much of the above as possible - the times, the laps, the wrong classes, the misspelt names...

Looks good to me, but can't say I understand it fully. Did you consider that Eddie might be up one lap to 21? NickM might have a word to say about that though .. :s
