I'll not be at Hog Hill tomorrow, just to give someone else a chance to win the Lanterne Rouge.
It would be interesting to learn if any new riders or spectators attend as a result of local press coverage. If all those paper and website editors contacted, print the pre-publicity pieces they were sent, we could have 1.6 million people turn up ...... ![]() Alan B. |

That's a shame, I was hoping for a good turnout...

Many thanks to Geoff, Nick M, Twed, Fiona and everybody else who helped out... A great day's racing apart from Bruvver Dave making a comeback and lapping me in both races... When they said the bottom circuit was flat they were fibbing!! Good track though... |

Thanks to all the organizators, especially Fiona or her smart thinking during signing in ;-)
I had a great time and really enjoyed getting back to the racing again. Legs felt great and no aches today, even surprised myself after not cycling for a while, though I think I owe Derek a thanks for the tow in the first race! I even managed to find my way back from Liverpool street station to paddington without getting lost this time. Also realised that Oxford Street is much easier to ride along than it is to walk along ;-) Look forward to your return Jeff, I hope the back is doing ok! Take care, Barry ;-) |

Many thanks to Nick Marshall for doing the bulk of the work and to him and Twed for giving me an opportunity to ride in the second race.

Thanks to all involved in organising what was a good day. I enjoyed it even if I was near or at the back of the field most of the time. Looking around it seems I am now the only person regularly racing a non recumbent so I might have to consider a change of attitude for next season. Any advice, or offers of a bike , welcome!

I've got a couple of basic recumbents in the shed. A Flevo or a moulton F frame recumbent. You are welcome to borrow for next season. I warn you, one ride and you'll be a convert!

Thanks to all for the warm welcome and friendly but fierce competition. I really enjoyed the day. A big thanks to all who did admin, timing, fees etc...I will get to know you all in due course. I learnt how much training I am going to need to do just to join the main race pack .....and maybe a lighter bike down the line is also needed..I plan to see all at Hilingdon, work pressure permitting!
