What does "DF" stand for, please?

Re-reading this thread, there are some really interesting ideas.  Clearly there is work to be done in sorting out the significance of hip angle, BB height and possibly seat shape for maximum power and hill-clinbing capacity.

sorry to bring up old post, but I wondered too what would happen if Trek and Giant shelling their R&D $$$ on recumbents, I guess Mike (Burrows) tried to convince Giant to manufacture, but who knows.

I think Trek has already done a recumbent (SWB, mid-drive) and Giant a semi-recumbent. Guess they were slightly put off by the fact they hardly sold any...

It probably wouldn't do that much good then if they spent their stick bike development money on recumbents. They should just give it to us and let us do it for them!
