June 18th - Manchester Velodrome

   The blind tandem group I ride with have got a 2 hour session of velodrome riding at Manchester Sunday June 18th from 12 noon - 2 pm and are in need of a couple of extra sighted tandem pilots.
This 2 hour session is free except for shoe hire (£5) or totally free if you're happy to use toe straps.

We will be running 2 groups on the day, an experienced racing group and a party of introduction to the velodrome so pilots can choose which group to join or may be asked to ride in both groups.

British Cycling will provide coaches for the session.

Ideally some experience of tandems, fixed wheel or velodromes are advantageous but an outgoing personality and big legs is all you really need.  Last time out we had new pilots with no experience of tandems, fixie or velodromes who by the end were lapping like veterans.
