So sad to hear that Mike passed away this morning.
An amazing character, a great bike designer, builder and racer. And a great bloke.
He leaves a massive hole in the BHPC.

Even though it was imminent, still a big shock.

Thanks for the update Alan.

I'm in tears, but I'm glad he didn't linger too long. Being inactive is just not him and not what his life was about.

R.I.P. Mike. You've left a big legacy behind and will never be forgotten.

All the best.
Roy

A great guy. I had the pleasure of meeting Mike many years ago when I did some work for the Giant Mountain Bike Team of the day. The windcheetah alone is a lasting achievement, but there were many other things in his career. For me he was that rare person who never stopped asking "why?" and wasn't afraid to debunk a lot of cycling waffle and marketing. The world of cycling is a poorer place without him.

That article by Peter Georgallou on The Radavist website is brilliant, along with some amazing photography.

I'm wondering if there is cause for a reprint of the last book. Making enquiries.

This has moved on a bit. We have permission from Tuula and Paul Burrows. Tony Hadland is talking to the potential publisher. Yesterday I put a survey on the BHPC FB page and have 56 people interested in buying a copy so far. I don't know of a way to put a similar poll on the forum. This book. https://shop.bhpc.org.uk/images/thumbs/0000282_from-bicycle-to-superbike-by-tony-hadland-and-mike-burrows-sold-out.png

Just saw the obit in The Guardian...

Mike was a great character and true innovator.

I have some good memories of him at races and manning the BHPC stand at shows.

Condolences to his family.
