    Posted: 01 September 2015 at 3:22pm
Hi
Making a return to cycling via a Kingcycle in need of rebuilding and a  half a PDQ after the return via an upright proved uncomfortable.

I've been told over on yacf that there was an article about modifying a Kingcycle to take current wheel sizes possibly written by Nick.
I see that magazine back issues are available so can anyone tell me which mag it was in, please?
Cheers

I know Robert Bland has recently had wheels rebuilt in 406/559 by Dylan at Yorspokes... I'll hop over to Facebook where he hangs out and point him to this post...

Do they fit without other modification?

I believe he's using disk brakes.

That sounds interesting.

I'd be glad to hear from him.

He said he doesn't really do this forum so it may be best to catch up with him on Facebook...

Have you a link or a specific search term like name and town, please?
I tried a search for Robert Bland and FB threw up hundreds including all the variations that they chuck at you in case you can't spell what you are looking for!

Best bet is probably to add yourself to the British Human Power Club group on there... He's definitely on that one.
On my FB there are some pictures of my recently snaffled up KC which has a 559 rear, Rohloff hub and disk brake... I don't know a lot about the conversion though other than it was done by an ex-RAF engineer....

Hi Alan

I don't seem to be able to find the pictures. Either that or I am looking at them and not recognising the hub as Rohloffed or having a disc.
Any chance of a link, please?
