I'd be interested, would have to be combined with a weekend at my folks or something - getting on for 700 miles round trip for me...

Newport is a lot more accommodating than Mankchester -  the only problem might be that, at the time of out last visit, non-British Cycling clubs could only book 3 months in advance.

Newport waiting list is very long, even out of season. My DFB Club (BC affilliated) need to book in October for a late January slot this year. The terms were:
 
Minimum group number = 15.
£30 per person for 3 hour session including supply of track bikes. (Two hour slots avaiable)
50% deposit at time of booking.

I think it becomes easier to book the velodrome if you can use it on week days. I think you can book it just for 1 person if you want. I think you can use it without a coach if you are track acredated. It get much busyer when the national squads are in training for the worlds and Olimpics.
