i think we should turn up, get to front, form a rolling roadblock in protest - just like the riders do in that other UCI sanctioned race - TDF........

i sent them a message asking them to look at The World Championships at Monza!

I was toying with the idea of going but £18 for a 6 lap qualifier and a 7 lap final seems a bit steep (assuming qualification of course), plus travelling....only to be thrashed by local lads - Neil and Howard!!!

just read the details for the race formats, each heat will consist of no more than 50 riders, with the top 50 from all the heats going through to the final.  Me thinks that there might only be a "final".....so actually £18 for 7 laps is very very steep!

just had an email from the events organiser who was advised yesterday that there IS a world championship, he did say it was the UCI that had told him that there wasn't.

I did also suggest that a "no fee" race might attract recumbent racers, most of whom would have to travel quite large distances. He is looking into this !!!!!!!!!!

I agree they are very unlikely to fill two heats of 50 riders each... If they do then we must be doing something wrong!! I think the 48 riders at Hillingdon was as good as we've had for a while...
All things considered I think it's a good thing they are having a recumbent race... I just hope they don't treat it like some sort of freak show...
It clashes with the pedal car race at Blackbushe unfortunately so I won't be able to make it...

Might be worth a visit for publicity purposes just to mop up anyone who isn't aware of the clubs existance.

O' I fancy riding in the fixie race    and make a day of it....
FF with a single gear might be fun the regs dont exclude recumbents like the tandem race.
'•No recumbent tandems'

I rekon they will be in contact soon

I notice, the recumbent, fixie and tandem races have been scrapped through lack of participents!
