Subject: Hillingdon II + AGM - 2nd October 2011
Date Posted: 14 July 2011 at 1:35pm

Just so nobody can complain that they haven't had enough notice...

The final race of the 2011 season will be at Hillingdon on 2nd October.

On that day as well as the racing we need to squeeze in the BHPC AGM... The AGM is your chance to have your say in how the club is run and Hillingdon is a very nice circuit... So why not come along?

You will be able to sign on for racing from 10am.

PLEASE NOTE THAT REGISTRATION FOR RACING WILL CLOSE AT 10:45AM.

I'm sure there will be a lot of people who would like to compare their performance with the opening round at Hillingdon so the race format will be the same...

All four races will need to start on time to let us fit everything in...

Race 1 will start at 11:00AM: Slower Race - 30 Minutes + 1 Lap Anti-Clockwise
Race 2 will start at 11:45AM: Faster Race - 30 Minutes + 1 Lap Anti-Clockwise

Race 3 will start at 12:30PM: Slower Race - 30 Minutes + 1 lap Clockwise
Race 4 will start at 1:15PM: Faster Race - 30 Minutes + 1 lap Clockwise

The AGM will start at 2:30PM in the clubhouse...

If anybody would like any items added to the Agenda or would like to nominate a member for a committee position please let me know...

Just bumping this up...

Please get to Hillingdon in good time if you intend to race...

REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT 10:45AM

FIRST RACE WILL START AT 11AM...

The last thing we want to do is cut short racing to allow time for the AGM...

Hello Alan, I shall be relying on the railways to reach Hillingdon by 10:45. Please will you sign me in just in case I arrive later than that. Thank you, Dave.

No problem Dave - Thanks for letting me know...
We'll make sure you're in the second race so that should give you an extra hour to play with just in case...

Hi Alan,

I have a friend coming with us to his first BHPC race.  He will borrow my ICE B1 and will need at least one front number sticker if that is possible (I will write on the side ones).

Cheers, H.

Hi Howard,

Not sure who has the kit or whether there are any numbers in it but I'm sure we'll sort something out for him. gNick is coming down with the timing system so hopefully numbers won't be as important as in the olden days... Big smile

Many thanks to everybody who helped out today...
Thanks to Barry for unlocking and locking up...
Thanks to gNick and Kevin for looking after the timing and race data... It would have been impossible to fit in four races and the AGM otherwise...
Apologies if we seemed to be rushing people a bit at times...

Many thanks to Fiona for taking the minutes at the AGM...

Congratulations to all those who picked up a trophy... Andrew really needs to be careful who he buys his bikes from in future.... Big smile

Well done, Alan, for running a tight ship, and herding the ship's cats so effectively. Thanks to the back room boys, too Thumbs Up

Alan, gNick and Kevin did a great job of organising a complicated day. Many thanks also to all those who came to help with my 'mechanical' in the 2nd race - Barney helped a lot but several others got their hands dirty for me.

Mike suggested that I send the whole idler assembly for him to see why it keeps dropping the chain - apparently some batteries might need changing... Confused.

Finally, many thanks to the techno-wizards who look after the inscrutably complex points system. It seems I managed to beat Mike in Open Class even though he won Part-Faired.

That's his punishment for not playing on tracks with CORNERS, such as Stourport

I have in my posession a fluorescent yellow, waterproof (probably) jacket that was left at the side of the track at the end of the event.  If it might be yours and you want it back, please let me know.

Good variety of pics Andy - thanks

Seeing these pictures and Fraser's pics on Facebook, I'm amazed by how close to the limit Howard and Slash were, running clockwise through the last corner - an amazing display of bike handling skills and sheer courage - they must have been doing about 40mph through there. Forget MotoGP or Formula One - get another handfull of streamliners doing the same and we'll have Sky beating  path to our door! Smile

Maybe we should think about their trajectory if one of them had lost it though?

Yes Jeff I tried to get rid of it but it went round the houses and came back to me. Still got the 4 inch offset bottom bracket but has been fettled a bit and the shorter cranks make it less noticable now. Got a correx fairing sitting in the shed for it whcih should give it a 3mph boost next season.

gNick - Are the results all sorted and ready to go online now??

Yes but be careful - too much exercise resulting from tapping of the F5 key could be considered as TR**NING....
