I'm after a wireless computer that will cope with a greater than normal distance between sensor and display - this being in the region of 800mm. Not bothered about lots of fancy functions and was hoping to pay £30 to £40. Can anybody point me in the right direction? Thanks.

I have a Bontrager one, distance covered is a couple of metres, however it was well over your budget..  Might get one off Fleabay?

How Do Geoff.

I have a couple of Sigma 1609 STS computers on my bikes, and both work really well. the one on my High Racer is at about 800mm and no problems, even the cadance thingy works way out front there.

The Sigma manual gives this model about 900mm range, to be used within a certain angle, Bt I can confirm that mine works outside of this angle ok.
you can check out the manual at sigma .com or whatever the address is.

I got them from here,

cheap and quick delivery. this link was originally poeted here when I was asking the same question.
Hope this helps.

Take care,
Barry ;-)

Disclaimer! I accept no responsiblity if the coputer does not work properly on your bike Big smile

Thanks Barry - that sounds interesting. If it don't work at that range, I can always put it on another bike.
