How Do All,

I wonder if anyone has had any experience sending bikes overseas that they could share please.
I am wondering about how to go about getting a bike crated and shipped to Tampa, Florida, USA.
Is it a fairly painless process or more trouble than it's worth?

If worth doing; Any ideas on worthy crate builders and reputable shipping companies that will handle this sort of thing are gratefully recieved.

Thank you in advance for any info.
Take care,
Barry Wink

Have a chat with Lee Wakefied, Barry - He recently shipped his Quest over there and back to do ROAM...

Well I did not ship my Quest personally, someone else organised an entire container and we filled it with Quests and shipped the whole thing. I'm not sure how you would go about shipping a single velomobile.

Try asking Miles, he has done it a couple of times

Believe it or not, Miles missed the container shipment so he took his velomobile on the flight as excess luggage, and it only cost about £150 each way. On the outbound flight, Delta Airlines broke it but it was easily repaired and we packed it better for the return flight and it arrived intact.

How do All,

Thanks for the replies.
I have someone interested in My Street Machine GTe, but; as noting is ever straight forward; they are wanting to know if I could solidly crate the bike and ship to Florida Confused

I guess it was never going to be as easy as someone coming here and picking it up over a cup of tea.

Take carem
Barry Wink
