Any thoughts on race format yet?

Thoughts so far are for a 20 min and a 40 min race if there are sufficient entries to split into two heats. If not probably a 30 min and 60 min race. Not sure if the track is safe to run in both directions so races they may all be run in a clockwise direction.

Hi,

Does anyone coming to Bath have a 37 x 451 (20 x 1 3/8) tyre, suitable for racing, they can sell me - mine is getting rather thin!

Thanks

Dave (Rowingbike)

Slight correction - Sam's result in the 40 minute race is correct but he actually went out in the "slow" race on Ratty, not ArowFish in the fast race as shown... He went very well too!!

Yes indeed.

I think also thanks are due to the gent (whose, name, i unfortunately failed to get) who came to unlock the site for us - or rather to get his colleague to do so, as he himself had managed to break  both his arms the previous day....

He told us he'd only got out of hospital at 4 a.m - and yet he still organised someone else to come and help him open the site for us, so we could have our day of racing.  That's truly admirable I think.

Perhaps the Club could put in a word or two of appreciation to his bosses?

Yes, will do. His name is Geoff Simmonds. I was in daily contact with the the good people of Bathnes Council (where???) all last week sorting out the details of opening up and closing down so I shall certainly pass on the comments.

Thanks Andrew - I think he did well to remember us at all under the circumstances!

I wasn't there but I think Jeff James may have been O/P rather than O/P/U, unless the Cobra has recently undergone major surgery.

Ditto for Jeff at Hillingdon, which I was at.

Sorry Jeff, but U points are too valuable to fall into the wrong hands!

I lost a little skin on the first race, which isn't too painful now, I also appear to have lost a lap on the second race. I know Dave Goodman beat me in the sprint, but I don't think he gained a lap. Also I'm fairly sure the faster Ratracers only lapped me once.

I can confirm tat Dave and Gerry were on the same lap in the 40 minute race...
