I am looking for volunteers to write race reports for publication in the newsletter.

I currently need a write up of Newport (did Cycling Plus turn up?) and a volunteer for the first Castle Coombe as I would like to get both of these races into the next newsletter.

The main requirements is that the write up should be (mostly) factually accurate and most important of all ....  should not be a turgid procession of names, laps etc.

For a masterclass of race write-ups see anything written by Dave Larrington or Richard Middleton.

Submissions will be paid for at the normal rate.  i.e. nothing.

Your chance for fame and fortune, (well to write for a small circulation newsletter actually).  What are you waiting for?

Unfortunately the apparently omniscient Mr L set an almost impossibly high target. Who else could give humorous yet accurate accounts of all the races, all the hardware and all the social stuff while apparently spending most of the day lying in a heap of blood-stained Lycra by the side of the track? I propose that Dave be offered early retirement from racing (for his own safety) and given paid sabbatical leave as Reporter in Chief.

Paul: However I am volunteering to write up my visit to the Norddeutsches Liegerader Treffen (North German Recumbent Festival) a week or so ago if you need some pages filling - please reply via private msg.

Paul

A pile of photos wot I took at Castle Combe will be wending its way to you when I get round to burning them onto a CD.
