Hello everyone,

the next world championships will take place in France in the Jura region (East).
Dates: 15th - 17th of July 2022

The event is still at early stages but it should take the following format:

- uphill race (2 heats of ~3km)
- sprints 200m and km
- Criterium 100km

Accommodation will be at the sport centre on the banks of the lake: http://www.bellecin.com/" rel="nofollow - http://www.bellecin.com/

I'll keep updating this page as more details emerge.

Cheers
Marc

And the brand new teaser video is ready

Since you expect up to 60 racers at Hillingdon, I guess there could be at least 20 from GB in France next year Wink

Thanks for sharing.

Does anyone know what medical certificate they need? Is a British cycling race licence enough?

Hello,

according to my latest figures, only 1 Brit has registered so far for the event.
Sun, lake, cheese, wine and nice roads, what's not to like ? Embarrassed
Hope to see you in July.

It is a very expensive journey from the UK when looking at the cost of fuel and the massive increase in ferry costs compared to last time in 2019, plus all the extra insurance costs and red tape associated with us leaving the EU.

Yes I understand that the context is not the best for traveling long distances by car. Take 2-3 week holidays and come by bike ;-)
If I remember well, the ferry crossing was cheaper from Dover to Dunkirk with DFDS.
As for brexit, with the far-right still in line in the french election, we might have the frexit as well soon!

This is the last call for registration. After the 10th of July you'll have to bribe me to be able to enter. So far we have nearly 100 participants so there's ample room for you!

That's a lovely route for the 100k race.  Hill climb looks appropriately brutal.  Thumbs Up

Thanks David, great video and comments!

Really a shame that you messed up the sprints. It was a pleasure (and a surprise) to catch you in the 100km race.
Cheers

David one of the best videos I have ever seen of the WHPV championships. The commentary is brilliant. The performance was awesome. Well done.

P.S. The music was pretty good too.

This is from notes of a meeting held at Orgelet during WHPV 2022 and it is not official confirmation yet:

"The meeting gratefully accepted Werner Klomp's proposal to see – with a reservation – whether next year's championships could be organized in Austria near Lake Constance. The Swiss have offered to help Werner and his team".

See EuSupino 2022 when it comes out. Also see this website when it is finished:

"there is an internet site hpvwm2023.org under construction at the moment"
