Liverpool district have put a motion to the CTT AGM to allow a recumbent category in TTs. It would be very helpful if each of us contacted our cycling clubs to support the motion.

The usual sh*t about recumbents not being visible to motorists/ more dangerous on some courses. Are there any hard statistics to refute that?

So this forum is bowdlerised? Cute, if you like that sort of thing.

That's funny, I just popped onto the forum to look and the second post I read referred to me in a velomobile.

For reference, the Cycling Time Trials proposal did not succeed, with only the Liverpool district supporting it. Recumbents, other than approved paracyclists, are not allowed to take part in CTT time trials.

I was more surprised that accepting recumbents was proposed. The CTT is one of the most traditional cycling organisations out there.
