As you probely know, the darly moor event clashes with the york rally, I'd like to go to the rally but also want to go to the race. I'm sure there are others in the same position. I was just wondering if someone could maybe organise a minibus to take us and our bikes to darly moor from york in the morning and then return us to york after the event. From past experience of organising London to Brighton rides getting people AND bikes on a minibus is usually a bit tricky. If you get enough people to make the cost of the minibus sensible then there isn't room for the bikes. And that's with "normal" bikes! Always ended up with a minibus AND a van. We did hire a vintage double decker bus one year but I wouldn't recommend it!! Sounded like a lovely idea at the time... People on top, bikes underneath. Trouble was the bloody thing would only do about 30MPH and nearly shook our teeth out by the time we got home... And it was a boiling hot day and there was very little ventilation... ------------- |
