just fitted SPD cleats to Christine's new cycling shoes and we are going out together for the first time on our KCs tomorrow morning. Got to thinking ahead for Hillingdon and Christine is going to need a race number. I know the lower numbers have been used up in the past but does anyone know if 33 is still being used and if poss if Christine could use this number?

I've just checked the race spreadsheet from Hillingdon and Clare Neville was on the system as number 33.

Does anybody know if she raced in 2010?
If she did then she would usually be able to keep the number for this year...
If not then number 33 is available.

Pleased to hear that the Worthing KC squadron will be taking to the tarmac tomorrow - have a good ride!

And Christine - if you are new to SPDs, just don't forget to unclip before junctions... and it'll all be fine (if Judith can master them, we're sure you can).

Claire Neville doesn't appear on the 2010 championship results so I guess that means she didn't race all year. I will make some chain protectors for both bikes and put 33 on Christines.
Thanks for the advice Nick and thanks for the fine machine.

Considering this rough looking frame went for £200 a couple of weeks ago I'd say you've had a VERY good result there!!
Well worth a trip to Cambridge!!
