Crikey Kev, that was quick!!

Thanks to all those doing the organising. Great fun today.

I seemed to be having a good close race with Fiona until she got all un-lady-like and lapped me 3 times in about 10 minutes!!!

A shame we've only got one more to go this year. It would be nice if we could get to Newport during the winter break...

Looking forward to Eastway (unless anybody gets silly ideas about doing an hour there!!!)

Alan

Thanks to all who organised at PP and thanks to Kevin for getting the results out so quickly.

I know from Claire's record ride at Palmer Park that the track is 459 metres long, so I think these speeds are a bit optimistic. I guess you used 480 m, Kevin. My speed should be 30.8 mph, for instance. Still - the speeds'll scare the roadies!

Thanks for doing the computerating Kevin - I was in no fit state to drive 30 miles let alone the 300+ each way to get to Reading.

thanks Geoff - A double error firstly a typing one for the track 495 metres instead of 459M - the second was a conversion factor for miles.  Both have been corrected now hopefully.  I come up with nearer 30.9 than 30.8 (at least to 1 decimal place).  I have updated the results in the posts above to reflect this.

gNick - I know how you feel since I was down with a cold as well.  I had to struggle back on the Thursday (only 250 miles though!) and change into a DJ and get into London for a meal.  That left me Friday totally knackered and Saturday I was still struggling .  Sunday i started at least feeling human, though I did end up crashing out for 4 hours when I got home from the race.   Also I'll have a go at the master results sometime (aka Dave's Sheets - though they are fairly manual (something I hate) and I am tempted to rewrite them to avoid all the manual steps!

Thanks to all who organised at Reading and indeed to everybody there who made this BHPC racing virgin very welcome.

Cannot make it to Eastway but I will definitely be making room in next years diary for some more racing.

Thanks again

Simon

It was good to see you again Simon.  Sorry I didn;t have a lot of time to chat.  It would be great to have a new racer next year.

There seemed to be 4 or 5 new people at Reading, which was good to see. I hope they were all made to feel welcome. We could do with an infusion of new blood, particularly given the number of regular racers who have dropped out this year.
