So - Is everyone else agreed .. For race 2 Keith is 28 and Erik/Filip with 29.  Heather probably has the better track of these so I don;'t know if she reads the forum to give her opinion  I have some of the sheets/envelopes at home so could look when I get back on Friday.

That's my recollection.  Keith would be the best placed to confirm it.

As usual I have a very poor recollection of my race - pedaling is hard enough, never mind thinking at the same time! But Mr Garmin informs me that I did 28 laps:

and that I threw the towel in on the 21st lap. Do I subconsciously expect a race at Hillingdon not to last more than 45 mins? Maybe a 1 hour race wasn't one of my smarter ideas!!! Wink

I was lapped by Erik (I assume he'll return the favour when I compete in Belgium!) but I think not by Filip (though he almost caught up with me on the final lap).

Yes, that sounds about right. I finished just a few seconds short of Keith, and I remember overtaking the Quattro in the final stages of the race.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome, we had a great day. I'm glad to hear Keith is thinking about racing in Belgium, our next race is on the 15th of April Wink

The only pity was that crash that caused three of our closest competitors to abandon racing for the day. I hope they are all ok... and their rides also!

See you next time,
Filip

In the second slow race, number 4 was almost lapped by number 92, but escaped and ended up only half a lap behind, not ahead.  It would also tally with results from short race.

Flip,
I was great to see you and Erik. Shame that I had to dip out of the races as they were stacking up to be good ones. I will have to try and return the favour by comming over to one of the Belgian races. Just have to find a way of slipping it into my timetable!

My bike's fine and I'm a little tender but not too bad. I'll certainly be in fighting form in time for the World's

Best wishes
Neil Fleming
